North West Mini Mon Age Banded Championships

Five junior players from Burnley Judo Club recently competed in the North West Mini Age Banded Championships at Sutton, St. Helence; an event for the younger, lower graded and novice players in the sport.
Chris Pickles started proceedings for the club, fighting very well on the day. Despite giving away height and weight, Chris performed with a lot of determination to win an excellent Bronze medal.
Andrew Moores was another one on top of his game on the day, winning most of his fights to gain a well merited Silver medal.
Hussnain Jabber approached his contests with a great deal of resolve, fighting to a very good standard and collecting a fine Bronze medal.
Danielle Pickles showed the same amount of determination as her club mates, using good techniques coupled with an excellent attitude; she also came away with a Bronze medal.
Star of the day was Sibtain Jabber. This promising player scored clean wins in all of his fights to win the Gold medal. The youngster has now won Gold in both of the competitions he has entered, and looks a fine prospect for the future.
