Lancashire Closed Championships

15 Junior Members of Burnley Judo Club recently took part in the Lancashire Closed Championships held at Shadsworth Leisure Centre earlier this month.

For many players, this was the first time they had entered into a competition but each of them handled it very well. Competitors from across the county entered this tournament and the junior members were able to use this experience to enhance their judo skills.

Over the past few years, the club has not entered many tournaments but is now taking an active involvement in the progression of the competitive skills of the player and so are looking for tournaments which can be used to further leverage this.

All in all, the juniors provided an extremely good performance for the club and all competitors came away having had some personal experience which will help them with their judo.

Well done to all those that took part. We now have to work hard so that next year we will have even more gold medals.
